    The office of resident life emailed me saying to please read an attached letter called simmons.doc, I become weak and allow a little bit of excitement to overcome, getting my hopes up, just to read a letter of rejection.... This is the fourth place at jmu to reject me for a graphic design job now. Either A) I must really suck, B) I'm too edgy and goth like dawn said(even though I had an awesome clam chowder recipe spread in my portfolio.. how goth is that?), C) Every job was held by a bouncy, annoying soiritute that had the same expression of either they were scared of my stuff, or "He's better than me" face and probably hired some other bouncy, annoying talkative soiritute that they happened to get along with more on facebook.

    In my angered state, I'm liking to go with C and just hate JMU as I am tired of telling myself that I suck all the time with option A.  Who knows, maybe I do? Maybe I'm an illustrator pretending to be a graphic designer just to make money that I've been raised by society to have to have to survive.  I'd love to talk to Rich about this as he has mastered both, but he either doesnt like me or is too busy with a bunch of students whom he likes more to talk to me about anything longer than a quick 30 second passing in the hall.  Pretty sure he doesn't even remember my name.

Why do all companies think it's ok to post Graphic Design job listings on Monster.com just to list in the description that what they really meant they are looking for is a web designer familiar with dreamweaver and html??

My skills are mediocre at best with dreamweaver.. photoshop/indesign/illustrator are where its at for me but no one seems interested in printed advertising anymore... its all internet this and internet that.  God I hate the internet.  Guess this means a web design class or two next year when I can start taking all my advanced graphic design courses now that I passed my review. 

Dawn said that the only problem they had with my portfolio was that it all leaned towards a... "goth/alternative" style; and they just want to see a more well rounded presentation of work which sparked the idea that I could be a graphic designer for Hot Topic, which would be wicked awesome... but I think they are HQ'd somewhere in CA so there goes that idea...

So apparently, remove garfield from garfield and you just get a very depressed, possibly psychotic Jon having daily conversations with himself in this lonely state.  Kinda messed up ya know?....
